There are two main types of cable used for transmitting video signals, which are:
Unbalanced signal on Coaxial cable and Balanced signal on twisted pairs cable.
An unbalanced signal is the level of voltage referenced to ground, for instance a
video signal from CCTV camera. Is between 0.3 and 1.1 volts above the ground level on the
outer shield. CCTV cabling systems are cabled extensively using 75 ohms coaxial
characteristic impedance. We have 3 different kinds of CCTV coaxial cable 59, 6 and 11.
